A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Matt has cooked professionally for over 20 years throughout the Northeast including at the famed River Cafe in Brooklyn NY, Lacroix at the Rittenhouse Hotel, Garces Restaurant Group, and as Chef de Cuisine of the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia. Additionally he spent several years as a private chef and running his own catering company upon relocating to Vermont in 2018. Matt is excited to bring a new concept to the area and to showcase some of New England’s best farms and purveyors on his menus.
Alina studied at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration and spent several years in the hospitality industry with Ritz Carlton, W Hotels, and Garces Restaurant Group, among others. She studied Japanese in college and spent her semester abroad in Tokyo, where a love of all things Japanese was born. She owned a clothing boutique in Philadelphia for several years prior to relocating to Vermont in 2018. Alina runs the Kitsune IG, handles reservations and email inquiries, and loves hosting you all in-person at our pop ups and events.
Karl is Matt’s right hand man in the kitchen. Prior to joining Kitsune he managed The Butchery in Stowe for eight years. A Vermont native, he has cooked professionally for all of his adult life and has a thriving Japanese knife forging business on the side.
